I am trying to find out how to fine the aka: production the chassis number of my dark horse. R550 is my Dash number. I understand it now and I have my answer. thx y'all

Dash chassis number? I have heard people ask of such mystery number "production number" but have never seen any such resolution. I tend to believe it is an unknown mystery. Possibly William Shatner (Capt. Kirk) will host a TV series exploring the mysterious DH chassis numbers some day.

Someone might be able to decode the VIN's one day as well, if Ford cooperates with such an endeavor.

Dash chassis number VIN = yes. my bad my # is R550 so my chassis VIN number is 550. I figured it out. thx y'all

Ford will issue the catalog that “decodes” the VIN after the model year run ends.

Thank you I found how to decode the Vin. The last # 14 through number 17 = your chassis number. AutoZ website..
